So, I don’t write as much as I’d like to, because I never really know what to say. Not to mention, I always seem to have something going on in my life. It’s literally crazy on a daily basis, that it’s pretty much normalized at this point. While it consumes me constantly in one way or another, I wouldn’t even know where to start if I were to write about any of it. I honestly have thought about it though.

But I do update this site often. It’s easy for me to pop on here in between the chaos and quickly add something or make a change.

During my recent visits, I’ve noticed a bit more activity on here. I hope that the changes I’ve made have been helpful. I actually have a lot more information to add. I think that with an upcoming update, I would like to add more media too. Please be patient and do continue to check back often. Thanks!

I Just Wonder

I’m currently updating things again. I wonder if anyone ever notices. Or if they get irritated when I move something. I change things a lot, but who is really paying that much attention. Whenever I’m able to, I kind of just constantly try to improve, update, add content, and more. Then I sit back, hoping and wondering if anyone is out there watching.

I know I could do more with my site if I focused more, but I honestly have a lot on my plate that I should be more focused on. I feel like this is my outlet, where I can express myself to an extent. With that, I also feel selfish when I’m working on it, or writing a post. But then, later, when I see my stats, it makes me feel like I was actually being productive. That makes me happy.

But, then I get nervous. I wonder if everything looks okay. Does my site make sense? Did they find anything helpful? Will they return? I get inspired to write, but I want it to be valuable or interesting content. I then realize I haven’t written a post in a while and wonder if people think my site isn’t active or current. I panic and wonder what I should write about. My mind races, and goes blank. I can’t think straight. My anxiety takes over.

Sometimes, I’ll just post about something already on my site. In most cases, I write nothing. It takes a lot in me to not draft a post, and hit that publish button. When I do, I wonder what anyone thinks about what I had to say, when I finally said it. It’s not like I’m even controversial or anything. I just always wonder and worry.

A lot of times, I will then get side tracked with something else. This gets put on the back burner, and I wonder if anyone is looking forward to updates.

Rearranging Again

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been cleaning and updating a bit here. I’ve added some random pages, removed a few, took down some posts, rebuilt pages, and so on. I kind of do this all the time, but every so often I feel the need to change things up a bit more. My interests, phases, obsessions change so usually this site follows suit. I don’t post often for a few reasons. I don’t like to spam people with things they may not be interested in, and I do tend to either hyper focus too much or I’m frantically scattered all over the place. Why would I want to put anyone else through any of that. Especially people that actually have signed up to receive my blog updates. Although, I have actually recently considered writing a little bit more there. I’ll try to still keep it minimal and hopefully something strikes your interest. Feel free to join in the conversation if you like. I’d also like to get a lot more information on the site. I thought that since I’m constantly on a new search for some sort of knowledge, I would share along the way.

A Few Updates

A lot has been going on so I haven’t had a lot of time to even grasp my thoughts long enough to share anything here with anyone. But, I have actually been doing a lot of updates around my site.

I added a new page called Smile Sparkle Save. It’s really just a table of contents type of page for the financial section of my site. I’ve made quite a few updates throughout those pages as well. They include Financial Basics, Extra Money, Savings Tips, Scan Receipts, and Freebies.

I also recently started adding a few picture pages. If anyone isn’t aware, I used to do a lot of photography and promoting of several local bands in my area. That’s how this site even originated. It’s focus has since changed quite a bit. At first, I moved anything LadySkullshine related to a tiny section on the About page. After a little bit of thought though, I decided that I would add a bunch of my old pictures. I have a lot more to add when I have a moment.

I have been MIA here lately. I’ve done a few things behind the scenes here and there, but that’s about it. I’ve been extremely involved in a lot of other projects and things around the house. Once I get a few things taken care of, I really want to make a lot of updates here.

We got a new mattress for my daughters’ room, so we did some rearranging. Then we got a new cage for our pet rats. It’s a double setup so we can have both the girls and boys in it without them having babies. That was a bit of a catastrophe at first to put together. I got a bit overwhelmed and had a meltdown. Eventually we got it together and it is actually pretty awesome.

I’ve been doing some more reading lately too. Reading, research, and some tarot too. I actually read a lot. I used to read actual books, now it’s all online research. I used to listen a lot to audiobooks too. Every night at bedtime. I’m interested in a lot of different things. Nothing non fiction. Not since Stephen King back in the early 90’s maybe. As far as tarot, it’s just my Angel Guidance deck. Nothing major.

I’ve been trying to get on the ball with my couponing. I also definitely got a ton of freebie items in the meantime. Foot rests, coasters, cocktail shaker, wine tumbler, gold necklaces, bracelet and necklace set, tie dye kit, t-shirt, weighted blanket, plush robe, skull apron, keto bars, resistance bands, tactical flashlights, tote bag, rechargeable lighter, oven mitt set, pajamas, and more.

Year End Stats Coming

I’ll be doing my end of the year calculations soon, where I will figure out what apps and sites have been the most profitable. It will help me to determine what is worth my time to continue using.

All of it is very time consuming, regardless of what is being done. It also gets overwhelming. That’s added anxiety that I don’t need. So, I try to limit it any way I can. Not to mention, there’s only so much time in a day.

I’ll share once I have the data. I also want to do some year end assessments of some of the companies. In the meantime, I’ve been cleaning things up a bit across the site. I may be making a few more changes.

New Theme, Page, Updates

If you haven’t noticed, I changed my site’s theme. I also rearranged some things and added a new page. I’m ridiculous! I’m constantly trying to make it better. I’m so OCD about everything, until my ADHD takes over.

Let me know what you think.

I really like the layout of this new theme on my laptop, but I’m not sure about the mobile view. That’s where I get tripped up. The menus and widgets show up differently. I should have checked the theme on all devices before I applied my changes, but I didn’t think about it at the time. I’ll most likely keep it for a while and experiment a bit.

What device you use the most when you’re visiting?
I can adjust more to the majority’s viewing preference.

I originally planned to add a coupon section to my Financial page, but things got out of hand. I ended up creating a new page for Savings Tips. I listed the steps that I take to help save money from before a transaction, to afterwards. I did my best to have it flow in that order. I have so much more information to add to both of these pages.

Coupon Mission: Update 1

I recently posted that I’m on a mission to be a for-real couponer. I already save money literally everywhere else in our household budget, so it’s time to take on that ever growing grocery bill.

Granted, I do buy a lot of items. My cart is always overflowing and I usually fill both refrigerators, freezers, pantry, cabinets, and then some. It just bothers me, knowing that I can save so much more. I use my store’s loyalty program and buy things on sale. I just really need to use more coupons. The issue is finding ones that we can actually use.

Since my last post, I have reached out to 46 companies requesting coupons. For the majority of them, I just had to fill out forms on their sites. I also created a new email address specifically for this. I’ve already received several responses. A bunch said they would mail coupons to me. Most of them advised that they could not send anything, but then they directed me to where I could get their coupons. Some companies post them on Facebook, while others are sent via their newsletters. I’ve also found some that have points programs. When I’m more organized, I can post more detailed information of what I’ve found.

I recently went grocery shopping and don’t have a ton of coupons, so I won’t have any major progress yet. I just have to stay focused and remember that the end results will make all of this worth it. I am also going to begin couponing at the pharmacy again. I did really well with it before. That will help me stay on track in the meantime.

Updating The Past

While updating my current content, I also like to make sure that my past is also properly reflected. If you’ve worked with LadySkullshine Entertainment, and you are not listed on my About Me page, please forgive my oversight or memory lapse. Let me know so I can correct it. If you send me your link, I will add that as well.

When I revamped things this last time, I just didn’t have the extra time to go through every single link and verify that what I had was still current. They were from over 5 yrs ago.  I also didn’t want to leave some and not others. It would seem like I was picking favorites.  So I removed them all.

I’m probably just being a massive packrat by keeping so much information on that page, but it’s a part of my history. Until I find a better way to organize my site, it will have to remain there. It’s the era of when LadySkullshine originated and shined. 🙂

This app has quickly become one of my favorites. You can make a few extra bucks doing quick tasks with little effort. The “coins” accumulate fairly quickly.

Giftloop has a continuous loop of screens that you swipe through. As you swipe, you come across several cat memes that you click on for 5 coins. In between the cats, there are also short videos to watch for 50 coins. You can complete offers, trials, install apps, take surveys, and more. They have a daily login bonus, along with other daily bonuses. For example, there’s a daily bonus for taking a survey. So, you get the coins for the survey itself, then collect an additional 750 bonus coins.

I have made $35 in Amazon gift cards since I’ve started using this app, near the end of last year. That’s not bad since I primarily just watch the videos, do an occasional survey, and collect my 5 coins whenever the cats pop up. Oh and I always have my phone set to collect coins whenever it’s charging. I would have cashed out more but I rarely complete the offers, apps, and trials. Since I’m really not testing out as many apps anymore, I think I will be using this one a little more often.

LadySkullshine Archives: Out Of Control

While doing my random cleanup of my website, I noticed I actually have a lot of information in the LadySkullshine Entertainment archives section as well a lot of archived pics. I haven’t looked at it in so very long. I cleaned it up some, but I’m not finished. I do everything in stages. My ADHD and OCD are always trying to compete. So anything that I get done is an accomplishment really.

Anyways, I plan to downsize that portion of my site a bit. I don’t think anyone will mind or miss it really. I feel like it’s there more for my own memorabilia, honestly. It was such a long time ago and I lost touch with 98% of that part of my life.

I need to make room for so many new things to come. I never know what that will be. My path and interests change often.

Maybe I’ll Get It Done, One Day

I have never been on good terms with time.

I tend to take on entirely too much and expect too much of myself. I’m constantly multi-tasking, trying to do it all at once, and fail miserably. I am always getting side tracked easily and can’t accomplish anything completely. I procrastinate constantly. I panic and can’t think straight. I’m also extremely forgetful. Add my multiple mental issues that can take over quickly.

I think the worst part of it all, is how it affects others. I really only want to make everyone else happy, but it is often is seen differently. No matter how much I try to prove otherwise. None of it is intentional. Believe me, I’d change in a heartbeat if I could.

It’s an ongoing struggle. I take a lot of baby steps towards accomplishments and I do celebrate them. I’ve come a long way on some levels, while in other ways I feel that I’ve fallen backwards a few steps. Either way, I find the silver lining or lesson and then move again. Staying positive is sometimes all that’s left to pull me back out of the rabbit hole.

For instance, this current post that I am writing took me 3 days to complete. Between being side tracked, deciding whether to even share it, renaming it, and so on. The distractions are appreciated though. Like, yesterday I accomplished very little, but my daughter and I made pink pancakes and I took her to get her hair and nails done. She was so very excited and happy. That always makes it so worth it. Today was actually a much more productive day. I got to check off a ton of things from my to do list. And we even made chocolate dipped strawberries for the 1st time. They didn’t look pleasant since the chocolate didn’t melt how we expected, but they were delicious and didn’t last long at all.

I was also able to list a few more coins today. I know we would do better if they were graded, but we can’t afford to do that at the moment. They have been heavily researched though. If interested, check out my Coins page. I need to add my new listings. You can also follow my ebay to stay current.

There’s so many things to do yet and my head is spinning, but again I’m running out of time for the day. Hopefully tomorrow will be productive as well.

Skullshine Sharing Some Savings

I’m obsessed with saving money and making a couple extra bucks. There’s too many apps out there that will supposedly help. I’ve gone through so much time researching and stressing to better myself financially. I figured it was a good time to begin sharing some of the things I’ve discovered along the way.

As with most things on my site, the Financial Tips page will be updated when possible. For the time being I have listed the companies that I have had the most success with cash back so far. Games, surveys, and much more will be added shortly.

Numismatic Updates

If anyone is interested, we have several coins available for sale. I finally had a moment today to update the Numismatic page and also added a Coins For Sale page.

My fiance Sully started all of this as a bit of a hobby, that turned into something that he could leave behind some day for my youngest daughter and I. He has been doing this for a few years now, while attempting to teach me a few things. He has done extensive research on everything we have. He examines and weighs each one, reads up on current pricing and news, watches videos to learn anything he can on particular coins or just numismatics in general. If he’s not sure of something, he won’t list it or will specifically state that he is unsure.

At this time, none of our coins have been graded. We have to decide which ones are worth it when we have the extra money to send them in. We have been listing them on eBay, OfferUp, LetGo, and a few other places. There’s really not a lot of physical coin places around anymore, but there’s a whole lot of scammers online making it even more difficult. They try to sell questionable coins for a ridiculous amount of money, showing a few blurry pics with little to no description. People are too scared to really deal with anyone and don’t want to take the chance on a legit deal. Our prices are set to sell with some profit, not to become rich over night.

So I haven’t been able to update my site too much lately, yet the last few times I worked on some things here, I’ve noticed that I have so many new visitors. That’s awesome! Thank you!!!

I’ve been so very busy with work & family.  I’m rarely online & haven’t been keeping up much either but I’m still sharing fb statuses & doing what I can when possible. I see there’s a lot going on recently with local area bands.  You can help out by reposting, getting out to shows & buying merchandise.

Some changes are on the horizon …

I’m completely reworking my site. Not sure how everyone will feel about it, but I’m thinking a few things.  With respect to all those who follow me, (I’m not sure how many of those I actually have) I don’t feel that I’m benefiting as many as I’d like to.  So then I wonder what’s the point.  So a new format is needed.  Since I don’t have very much spare time to work with, I will make it simple but with more interaction.   Currently, anything I post on my LadySkullshine Entertainment page on facebook will automatically upload to my site.   I’m looking for ways to expand & network further in a seamless manner.

I also think that this is my own site that I do by myself & can do whatever I want.  That being said, you will see more of what I want to be on my site.  Not, what I think will please everyone else.  So you may see more happy sparkley things & less adult rated items.  I hope this doesn’t annoy too many, but hey it is what it is right?  Everyone just needs to realize that I do this for fun & to help others voluntarily in my very limited spare time since I’m quite busy with my career & family, etc.  There are a few exceptions when I do some paid projects or trade offs, etc.

I hope to start changing some things today & to get working on some family pics on my day off.
