I added an awareness page to my site for a few reasons.
Either myself or family have been diagnosed with several things that I knew little to nothing about. It can be a bit overwhelming. I have often felt useless, not knowing what to do or how to make things better for the ones I love so dearly. Not to mention, the struggle to help when someone else when I could barely help my ownself.
I wasn’t going to share originally. I didn’t want anyone feeling sorry or any sort of way because of it. I’m also not trying to shove it in anyone’s face that everyone must be aware of all the disabilities, illnesses, whatnot in the world. I’m not out there yelling let’s cure everything. I just wanted to share what I thought may be useful for others since I’ve experienced so many of the struggles on both sides.
